Mods not working
No mods I have are working since the update. I have tried everything and certain mods just won't work at all even when being updated to the latest version, and being the only one loaded. I never had a problem up until now. Did something change with how mods work?

You should really research and learn the game before mods. Odds are you did not get rid of the diablemods.txt that gets added with each update.

Mods always need to be updated if the game has had major changes, and this is one of those times.

Not much you can do but wait while the mod makers make them compatible with Endurance.

Sorry not being condescending but he did say he updated some mods and they are not working. I bet he did not removed the disablemods.txt.

First time modding a game?
Golden rule of modding, Don't use them for atleast a month after a big content update.

Or, Don't update to newest version.

You did this to yourself.

Yeah, this is way too soon after an update to be concerned if a mod works or not. I've watched Nexusmods and people are updating stuff really well, but hell - just like always... how many patches have NMS put out now? Most updates the modders have put out could possibly already be broken again. You gotta give it some time before even messing with mods after an update.
I'm big on the unlimited hyperdrive, and some of the settlement mods. None of them work at the moment. Oh well. No worries. Just enjoying the update for now :)

I'm hoping we can start updating by the end of the week, but it just depends on how much time the compiler updaters have.

I very much do have it removed. Ive long done research and found no solution which is why I turned to the community

Mods work just fine if they are updated to current version, just make sure you have the right mods folder and do what you need to do to the disablemods.txt file.

If you have disablemods.txt removed and add the enablemods.txt added and the mods are still not working then you either installed them wrong or they are not updated for the latest version of the game. I have mods and they are working just fine.

FYI, the new v3.97 compiler is out, modders can update their mods now. Check the Nexus for updates to your mods.

It looks like you ran into a few grumpy bums in this thread, try not to worry though, most of the community is much friendlier.

Some mods will stop working after a major content update while others will continue to work fine. It all depends on what has been changed. In order for a lot of the mods to be updated properly, the mod makers need to wait for the team who develop the compiler to update their program first.

If you have a save that you heavily used mods in, it's best not to play it until you are certain everything has been properly updated, and you've re-downloaded the mods. If you rush in, you can end up with missing items, broken tech and parts of you base builds gone.

When you have replaced the mods with the correct, updated versions, delete or rename the DISABLEMODS.txt in your NMS PCBANKS folder.

If you want to play a different save while you wait for the mods to be updated, you will need to remove any outdated mods from your MODS folder or re-enable the DISABLEMODS.txt (it should automatically be enabled after a game update anyway but always good to double check).

I see some mods are now being updated, though because of the changes to freighters, some building mods are a bit different in how they operate. If you use any of these it might be worth refreshing yourself with the Mod Author's notes on their Nexus page.

Good Luck!
I know I am years late but i ran in to the same issue today.. If you are using AMUMS you can roll back the compiler by editing the file /MODBUILDER/MBINCompilerDownloader.bat and comment the line "..\%_mLUA% ExtractLink.lua" by adding -- at the beginning of the line and then edit URLPrevious.txt and URL_2_previous.txt to the previous version of MBINCOMPILER that worked for you and run the BUILDMOD.bat again.. It should download the old Mbincompiler again and provided you have the game version that worked, you can just carry on.. But do not forget to uncomment once your mods are updated for the latest release
