the specialist is simply an option to unlock exocraft content with missions instead of nanites on the anomaly
Im pretty sure just in the galaxy. once you reach "end game" only then would you have to build another set of exocrafts.
¹You have your Orbital Exocraft Materialiser on freighter.
²You build a Roamer Geobay. You technically only need to build one in the entire universe. It doesn't require you to build it on a base -( no base computer setup required because it's under Deployable Technology) but you probably should build it somewhere that you frequent.
Now you can go to any system or galaxy and summon a Roamer on planet as long as you have the freighter in the same system.
But what if your freighter is in system A and you want to keep it there but still need a Roamer for System B?
³ build an Exocraft Summoning Station on any System B planet. It's the one that looks like a Geobay with radar. As mentioned above it's portable.
This is a nitpick, but if you have the exocraft pads built in any galaxy, they'll count in any other galaxy. Only need to build them once per *universe*
Legend:
Star system: collection of planets/moons. e.g. our Solar system
Galaxy: collection of star systems. E.g. our Milky Way
Universe: collection of galaxies. e.g. NMS universe has 256 galaxies.
Is it the new one or the old one? The old one doesn't work. You can tell by the big tires in the corner of the old room.
Pretty sure it's post-update, but I'll check. Thanks!
However I've just built the Exocraft Summoning Station and that seems to do exactly the same job? I was able to summon two different Exocraft (Roamer and Nomad), one of which i'm pretty sure doesn't have a hub in the system I'm in.
You have to have 1 of each summoning station somewhere in the universe. Once you have that, the exocraft summoning room in the freighter will work from anywhere. Hence, only build one of each type of summoning station planetside to enable the freighter's functionality.
Oh it's the room on the freighter AND the summoning station on the planet that work together? I totally missed that bit. I thought the freighter room was supposed to just send you vehicles. Thanks for help!
