dont delete all your freighter rooms guys...
I decided to completely redo my freighter so I could get glass corridors working properly, but when you delete all the rooms you cant build any more (nothing snaps to the bridge) so you just have a huge hole

Did you try save/reload? Or moving the freighter? I noticed some weird bugs like this ^ but moving the freighter fixed them.

no one can build near the bridge, i can remove and build new and rebuild the one that i remove without any problems , so maybe you are bugged somehow, try moving the freigter like krash megiddo say, again i dont have any problems building new rooms or removing them.

I deleted the freighter base, and got a big hole from the bridge to the hangar ramp... I used the jetpack to cross the gap and it fixed itself after reloading the game.

I didn't delete anything, I had a really nice corridor leading up to the captain , it's gone now. It is what it is . A fair trade off for all the new features in my book. Just another learning curve as far as I am concerned. I would suggest in the future that you back stuff up before you do major changes.
In the past, and today, sometimes when you delete a room in your freighter and then walk around and come back to it, you have a big hole. The workaround is to save (on your strategically placed save point), teleport out to a nearby base, then fly back (or teleport TO) your freighter. Or simply fly out and re-summon your freighter, then fly back in. Things will be correct when you return.

No major problems, a few things that there are new alternates for - once I unlock them at least.
I lost one medium refiner and one large refiner - only the Gods know where they went, tried to move my remaining large refiner out of my way and it couldn't be placed.

O.K. my layout is a bit screwed up, but not unbearably so. Given the improved appearance I'll live with my freighter being a bit strange.

This should be easily fixable. On the command console in the bridge, there should be a option to restore the basic freighter interior. With the update, that interior is literally just 3-4 hallways leading from the bridge. If you already deleted everything, there's no harm in doing that.

The first thing I do when I get a freighter on a new save is drop a save point right at the entrance to the bridge. If I make any changes, I save and then reload. I have not had the holes or the fall through the floor that others have. Maybe this helps.

Change can be uncomfortable. The update messed up my freighter base with a odd mix of legacy and new rooms and parts. But it's not the end of the world. I've reset my freighter and will redo it a la update.

The more I've played the update the more I'm starting to like many of the new features - even if I'm not entirely in love with the new look.

I disassembled everything I could to get back some building supplies and then reset the base entirely at the bridge terminal. I hope we get a new ramp or that elevator that was part of the leak but unfinished. Maybe it wasn't included because it would mess with the NPC pathfinding.

You can use it to the teleporter in there now, can work as a good work around to ladders.

Wasn't there a way to restore the freighter to default state?
The very first section that's just after you enter the buildable base area from the Captain's bridge is where I want a teleporter and a galactic room but there's this weird half wall that keeps you from going inside after building them. It can be deleted though. Just weird.

The glass corridor and the space deck are awesome features. I never thought I would run out of silver but I need more.
