if so do i just keep saving freighter from pirates and when il see if its A tier atleast i can just take it then? i just saved freighter from pirates and its B tier worth 63 milion can i pass on it and continue looking?

as long as you don't have a freighter, you can farm for that perfect A or S (preferably S) FREE freighter (remembers, you must fight pirates for it)

You can. Don't worry too much about freighter price/rank but look more to the storage it gives you. Ideally you want it to be as large as possible because increasing Freighter storage is a chore.

Though money in this game is tiered thresholds - that first 1 million is hard to get, then its the first 100 million hard to get, then its the first 1 billion etc.

It is really handy to start a farm on your freighter with hydroponic tables - as it is not only a mobile base/farm, but also a really good idea to jump it between systems and buy low/sell high if you have a Galactic Trade Terminal on board as well.

Freighters are, in my opinion, the best base in most aspects.

You need to be careful on the option you choose in bypassing the first freighter. Just leave.

If you take the reward then it's over, pretty sure, maybe someone else can confirm.

I never worry about waiting for the next one, it takes 2.5 hours of game play and then you are stil rolling the dice.

As far as I know, it's free until your first Freighter purchase. In theory, you could just wait until you find an S-Class Freighter, which would be the most efficient thing to do, as those cost 160m Units. However, the Freighters can be really helpful, especially if you manage to get 5 Frigate Upgrade Modules.

In the end, it's upto you, but if you wait too long, you may end up finishing the game before getting finally getting a freighter. The difference in Classes mostly determines storage size, but your mostly going to grab a Freighter for the Frigate Expeditions (which are based on Frigates you higher; essentially ships that follow around the Freighter) and Freighter Storage Units, which directly access your 0 to 9 Storage Units. So, Class isn't a huge deal, and hunting that elusive S-Class can give you an endgame purpose to gather money, and explore.

I jumped all the way to the center in permadeath and didn't get a single freighter event. No combat, no distress call, nothing.

indeed and there is no need for farming anything in nms. get freighter of your liking and as time goes on, there will be so much money, you will get to the limit quite fast and will be able to buy freighter you want.

farming is the worst thing to do in nms.

I actually kind of gave up on NMS for a bit, because I realized I had to farm 10,000's of Silver to finish building my freighter the way I wanted it... only for them to release a major update today, just for freighters. Unfortunately, I play modded, so I can't even login and see if they made building Freighter rooms cost less Silver (its 120 per section) or what it added to them xD
