Where are best ships?
Does anyone know if one galaxy has better ships over the others? Are the ships merely the same in all galaxies? Are there any in one galaxy that are not in another? Which galaxy has the best ships: fighters, solar and exotic? Thanks for any help!

I only like fighters, solar and some exotic. I like the fan wing hauler and that very long one, but they are just too big. I especially like the long nosed fighter. I'm in galaxy 90 right now and am finding too many toy explorers and shuttles. I wish they'd remove both from the game and give us some real space ships. LOL!

The galaxy doesn't matter, and nothing is "unique" it's all random.

Just don't go hunting them, just make sure you have enough units to buy one when they turn up.

On one save my (whatever the escorts are called) are now 50% squids which are VERY rare. That's mainly because they are readily identifiable in combat and I don't waste photons on them. They just turned up.

as others have said the ships are procedurally generated so there's no galaxy that's going to be better than another...that said...for each system there is a pool of about 21 ships plus an exotic, the race of each system determines ratio of ship types make up the 21 ships
(can't remember the exact numbers right now)...still...
for fighters look in vy'keen systems
for haulers look in gek systems
for explorers look in korvax systems
for solar look in pirate systems
this still doesn't mean you will find wot you want...just that there are more of the type you're interested in...but wot you call 'better' may STILL be found in any system in any galaxy

have you tried look thru ships shared on the NMS coordinate exchange website?

"[ordinary thing] makes me excited"
"[ordinary thing] is super cool"
"[freakily rare thing] i don't want ever to happen to me"
"[freakily rare thing] how do I get mine"

kinda is a normal game starting experience, and while I could say this or that, it wouldn't be any different than what anyone else had said the past two years in the same situation.

Sorry to disappoint everyone, but I already have all the best ships. You're all fighting over what's left.

p.s. He did also mention it is all about luck... Like when I found my first exotic ship, while exploring a random system... something about having 0.2% chance so... >_<
It sounds about right but in NMS RNGesus is a Gek and they are a cruel bastard…. Given that 0.2% chance it happens more often than not, on a new save you have an 86% chance of having an Exotic land in the Space station or trade outpost. The percentage is based on how little money you have so there is no possible way you’d be able to purchase it.

A little tear will form in your eye as you watch it fly away, never to be seen again…. Oh & watch out if this happens on a cold planet, frozen eyelids are no joke. 🥶

@Geldric...oh yes the pain as you watch the exotic of your dreams fly off

the first time it happened it hurt, but i won't lie i did laugh...by the fourth or fifth, i started to suspect someone was 'extracting the urine' :steamfacepalm:
