Isn't that a cheat?.... Of course not, it's in the game... But where did you get this info?... On the internet.... So it's a cheat when I look for something on the internet, but it's not when you do it? Oh! I get it, it's not a cheat when you say it's not, right?
Its a cheat when you make something possible via ways that normally are not available, by entering an actual cheat, or by using programs to cheat.
I don't think this would count as a cheat, as it is fully using ingame mechanics, looking something up on the internet would merely by a way to "guide" you imo.
A cheat is something that is not possible ingame and become possible with a T-Prog or files configuration changes . Ex : Noclip mod.
A bug exploit is something possible ingame but not intended by dev (bug). Ex : Duplicate item.
This strat is neither a cheat nor an exploit. It's not because you make your own definition of what is a cheat that become one. Just learn before, then talk. Looking this strat on the internet is : a spoil.
Another spoil tech that can be abusive for new players . How to go on blue star systems without indium drive with your ship ? Unlock Nada anomaly ; do missions : get lucky. :D
So, basically, we're all cheaters.
We're flying through space and visiting other planets - via normal ways not possible, so we invented methods to cheat into pretending we would do this (and then even argue about what ships or planets are the best - as if they would really exist and if they would be important at all).
We're all dirty cheaters.
And we enjoy it.
Case closed.
It is.
There is a second method that doesn't need glyphs (at least not for further galaxies other than the first one) but instead relies on black holes. This second method is arguably even more fast.
