Best way to farm nanites

Aside from bullying sentinels to give me glasses, is there other ways that im currently not aware of to farm nanites?

So you've go 3 main farms.

Kill sentinels which give nanites as you already know and refining the Pugneum they drop gives more nanites.

Find a planet with Curious Deposits, set up base kill them to get Runaway Mould, refine into nanites. (There are guides on this around as I believe it is the current best farm).

Find planet with gold and silver, set up gold and silver farm, refine gold and silver together into platinum, refine platinum into nanites.

If you have the money, sitting in 3 star systems in the station or outposts and sell the class A and S ships.

Yep, ship filpping is the way to go. Plan for 50m startup capital or an expensive cargo ship to flip.

Just be aware that the last update changed part if the dynamics. I think it was only the inventory preservation with the free postsale swap that got nerfed tho so shouldn't affect the flip.

if theres items you can sell for nanites, such as ships, sit infront of the nexus (for the money) then get an S class (like above) to exchange for nanites

There are game exploits/glitches that allow you to duplicate nanites. Really cheesy and can easily ruin your game-play experience if you are not careful.

Sentinel farming is the fun method. Planets with aggresive sentinels will spawn groups that have 2 summoners that call up drones which you kill for salvaged glass. Kill only the drones and leave the summoners and healers alone. Build a base thats maybe 5x5(can be bigger) of just floorspace so you dont have to deal with sentinels making holes on the floor and make it easier for you to pick/shoot up the sentinel drops.

There are a few refining recipes for nanites:

Single stage refining:
Platinum, Pungeum, Tainted Metal, Salvaged Data, Larval Core, or Hadal Core

Refining chain:
Residual Goop > Viscous Fluids > Living Slime > Runaway Mould > Nanites

In my list of other peoples bases were some who had set up nanite farms using Runaway Mould. I just go there and harvest them. They respawn quite quickly.

Yes, 100% agree ... this is probably the quickest way to get large quantities of nanites.

To remember: refining of 9999 mould takes 20 minutes to get 1999 nanites. so you have to build some refiners as well (middle or large pref.).

in my case i use 3 refiners into my freighter, so i get like 6k nanites each turn... ofc i could build more refiners if i would...

so ... i farm mould min. 3 x 9999 ... port to the freighters refiners and run them ... go back to farm like 20 min or again min. 3 x 9999 ... repeat ... nothing easier than this

I refine slime into nanites, same as a mold farm really. Other items that convert to nanites are:

Larval cores
Hadal Cores
Savage tech modules
Tainted metal

Derelict freighters can yeild a fair amount of nanites in the form of the items above and directly from loot in the freighter. Many have slime to convert to nanites. They also have upgrades that can be sold for nanites the same as scrapping star ships.

Find a planet with worms and shoot the Titan Worm Babies...can be refined to Nanites

If I need nanites quickly I scrap ships. Any method that requires refining puts your nanites at risk from the refiner bug.
