You are safe to do whatever you want if it doesn't interfere with other players.
Not that I'm aware of. But they don't need to say anything about it - acts (or the missing of those) are saying more than words.
all the data are on your computer, hg cant detect if you manipulated anything even if they tried
NOTE: the above is not directed at you, specifically... i'm using the generic inclusive form of "you"...
me? i generally assume all game devs can see stats about a player's time in-game... i mean, if your phone can surreptitiously listen to your IRL conversations and cause your web browsing to start showing you ads about things you have talked with someone about, why can't game devs do the same with the game data?
oh, and BTW, not all the data is on your computer... star system and planetary discoveries are stored on game servers... this is how the game can tell you that someone else discovered system X or named some plant a generic body part... granted, if you play in offline mode, you get the game's generic generated names for everything but once you connect online, they'll change... go offline again and they'll change back...
Even if no one is 100% sure, the thing is that the game mechanics are not designed for "competition" (beyond like, trying to get a specific star ship, but even that, in the end, is only effecting you). There would be almost no negative effect for anyone else if you take 1 Gold Nugget and turn it into 1000 Gold Nuggets.
For me the fun is in the journey to get other things, duping them or modding them in sort of takes the fun out of this particular game for me. Seeing as how it's less of a Star Citizen/Eve/Elite Dangerous and more of a Minecraft/Subnautica. I mean, if you duplicate or mod to have everything you want... what is the point of playing after that? I like this game, but the loop is in the journey not the end. At least for me.
That's a lie!
Those ads for potency pills aren't there because I talked about them! No! Absolutely not! It's just a coincidence! I swear! Don't trust those machines! They just want to get world domination by doing this!
(Tracking things and data in these times in one of the easiest things to do - either in general or in regards to games. HG can see the data - otherwise they wouldn't be able to stop real griefers such as those that wreck havoc in the Anomaly. Regarding other things they just don't care - there is no reason to care at all.)
NMS a chilled sandbox game and HG has shown no interest in trying to 'police' anyone's method of play
HG included the option to mod the game and while they don't encourage or discourage the use of mods it pretty much means 'policing' wouldn't be viable.
PS...Sean was apparently very amused at the 'everybody is sean' mod
this what happened in the last game i played hackers ruined it for everyone dupin rares and gold and just anything to cheat there no extened maintenance there trying to catch the hacker and we pay for it so unless people don't let GM'S know of wrong doing's in the game it we ruin it and there we not be a COH IT WELL BE GONE TO THE AMERICANS!!!!!!!
god bless uniquedragon. every time I see anything about 'duping items' I remember the time he went on that rant. https://cityofheroes.fandom.com/wiki/UniqueDragon
