Need help how to get cadmium

i put the warp-shield so i could go to red planets but i need 250 cadmium to install where can i get the cadmium when i cant go to red planets to install the thing to get cadmium?

Red sun systems (not red planets). In the galaxy map no filter gives you the sun colors.

You can also get cadmium in wealthy systems at space station landing ships, provided you play normal game, expeditions have their own rules and you need to find out, sorry.

expedition im stuck at phase 3 - 3rd protocol

Some starship components yield cadmium when broken down. Buy C-class (whatever it is at a station vendor,( I know it's NOT shields), install them break them down.
