Living Ship Storage Upgrade
Not sure if others are having a problem with this, but I can't seem to get any Spawning Sacs for the Living Ship storage upgrades.

I've sent out missions with organic frigates only, a mix of organic and regular frigates, similar groups (all trade, all combat, etc.), different mixes (trade, combat, support) and none of them will return with Spawning Sacs. Long missions, short missions, doesn't seem to matter. The only thing I've gotten are Psychonic Eggs at this point.

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations on how to possibly up the chances to receive the Spawning Sacs? Thanks in advance for any answers.

They seem to be less common than the Psychonic eggs. I have gotten 5 eggs, but only one spawning sack. All from Leviathan with regular frigates.

I've done all 5 missions every day since the patch. Aside from the first day all of them have had an organic frigate included in each group. I haven't seen a single Spawning Sac.

I only got one storage upgrade, the rest have been eggs, lots and lots of eggs.

I think the eggs should be used in cooking. Make a shield restoration cookie.

I've been sending out missions every day, plenty of eggs but still no spawning sacs, just lots of regular star ship inventory expansions.

Not sure how it's calculated but it seems to be on par with Starship Storage Modules. I generally send out four regular frigates (2 S-class, 2 A-class) and either my Leviathan or my Quest Organic Frigate (also S) on 3k+ LY and I generally get one in about 8-10 missions.

I am 14-2 with two living frigates.

Someone mentioned the possibility that more living frigates means more results of them. I only have the two currently (expedition reward and dream aerial.)

While it would be nice to have a few to get the rewards, but I think in the long run having too many could be bad if you are just going to be flooded with living ship upgrades rather than the normal rewards.

Still no living ship spawning sacs, I've no space to install anything now. I'm still getting loads of standard ship inventory upgrades and nothing to use them on, I have three maxed out ships already.
Maybe try a different system to launch your missions. Somebody mentioned this when I said I got 3 spawning sacs from one mission.

I haven't done any extensive tests yet to see if some systems give better results. I'm going back to that system today and the next few days to see if I do get better overall drops.

It feels like there might be some bug, where having a living ship or a specific upgrade prevents Spawning Sac's from being chosen as a reward in frigate missions. Most of the people I've seen in other threads who see them more often, comment that they don't even have a living ship yet. And it seems like there are mechanics that stop you from getting a second Dream Areial or one of the new unique living ship upgrade parts from eggs.

Rather than keep repeating stuff I'll just link this thread:

TL:DR:

- Don't stay in one system if you're not finding them, keep trying different ones regularly
- If you get one or more spawning sacs, there's a good chance you can keep getting them from the same system
- Frigate missions 'belong' to the system where they were first offered to you; not where you debrief them, and not necessarily where you launch them from

Send out combinations of frigates equal or better than the mission stars. Try to match expedition types with the frigate types or at least improve the chosen mission stats using a combination of frigates. Increasing mission stats too by adding bonuses to improve combat or trade chances or speed of missions and so on. Longer missions generally have more chances of bringing back more stuff. But it helps to support the weaker frigates improving their chances of survival. Better quality frigates help too. So matching weaker ones with experienced ones helps improving the weaker ones on return. Build more Fleet Command rooms to send out more missions simultaneously.

I used the system clock to test out over a weeks worth of missions, including moving to different systems each time as well. Got 30 some eggs, 6-10 star ship storage, and 0 Sacs.

If some one has the coordinates to a system that generated missions with Sac rewards, would be glad to test that.

That's about the ratio I've been getting with launching from a range of systems

I've been doing all that

If I find any spawning sacs in the next few days I'll post back here (or hopefully someone else might beat me to it.)

I haven't been recording items/locations, just looking at the mechanics more generally, but I've definitely had both 'unique' items and combinations of generic items as repeatable drops.
