Unable to build on existing base?

I have an Activated Indium mining base that I've wanted to expand (add more generators, miners, etc.). Everything is within 1000u radius. But stepping away further than 300u from my base computer results in message "Cannot build // Base Out Of Range". Any way to fix this? Thanks.

Try standing inside of where it says it's ok to build, then place down something outside of that area, walk over to that item, and place something further than that... does that extend that area for you? It might be an overlap of some kind.

That's the thing, nope! I am at at a loss here. Placing batteries to expand my 'influence' does not seem to work. Yet I have structures way beyond the 300u limit.

It really sounds like an overlap - is there another base nearby that you have extended? Like one you made to extend power maybe?
I had that happen to me that drove me nuts. I had to delete my power base, finish my Oxygen farm entirely, and then rebuild my power base to run power over to it. Otherwise they kept clashing with build area problems, and what base had control over the power lines.
Also, een if you don't have a nearby base, does someone else? Might turn on multiplayer and sit for a few minutes - see if anything rezzes in.

I do not have any other bases nearby. But I do have two harvesting points, AI and Radon gas. Both are at a distance from each other, but still within the 1000u radius. :/

Well crud. I can't think of anything off the top of my head then. Somebody with more base building experience will hop along. Sorry I couldn't be of more help :P

save and reload while in the 300u range and try again.

If you teleported into the base, save and reload as Happy Monkey said.
