First person view on pc ?

Is it possible ? Seem to not find any setting for in in control options and remap controls. I am using keyboard and mouse only.

you can switch between first and third person

There are a lot of poorly-at-best documented things accessed through that menu.

Instead of remapping a key, you assign a hot-key to switch POV. When you find it on the X menu, use CTRL+ (0-9) to make a hot-key.

This. It's also automatically assigned to the keyboard number pad as well (technically they are unique keycodes). I like using them on the numpad, because the layout helps my brain remember what's what.

7 - Toss critter food
8 - Trade scanner
9 - Toggle first/third person view
4,5,6 - My 3 fav Exocraft
1,2,3 - Multitools
0 - Screenshot mode

Should be noted that ship, ground, and exocraft modes each have their own bindings.

My quick keybinds are something like 1 2 3 multitool.

4 help, 5 over here, 6 I need resources, 7 sit, 8 laugh 9 celebrate, 0 thanks.

For whatever reason, the game defaults a new save to third person view. As noted, use the X menu to change it to first person. AFAIK, there is no way to force a default to first person view, but only an issue on a new save and quick to fix.

I fulltime in 1st person but the FOV isn't what I'd like it to be.

You can change that in your settings, and if it's not enough, you can edit your settings file up to 150 (beyond 100 as it were) and it will actually take effect I believe - anything beyond that won't do anything.
