NMS seeds for ships freighters, multitools etc

So does anyone know what the ship seeds correspond to, There's a discord that will let you use a web page to decide what you want your ship to look like color, style, decals, type then it pumps out a kinda code you copy and paste into their discord and it finds the seed for you.
Well kinda, if you want complete control, that is get access to all the colors, you have to pay them but to be fair they let you get a few for free.
They claim there's no way to tell what the numbers/letters in the seeds mean but I think they just want you to pay them for using the program they created. Obviously they've figured out what the seeds mean or they wouldn't have been able to do it. It just seems it's hex code and these 2 numbers control this and those 2 numbers control that etc etc.
So anyway anyone figure it out? I'm gonna play with it a while on the solar ships and see what I can see.

I think it does not work with bit fields. The seed is really the start value for a pseudo random number generator, the code then pulls values as it generates the ship.... "Set the seed. Type of engine? Give me a number between 1 and 4, next type of wing... 1 to 5..."

And that's how it is.
There is no seed-cracking-method - especially not in regards to seeds yet to find (and thus not generated).

I bet with you:
If you would use this program or method you would always get coordinates for already discovered systems.
It's like a scam. They will use those NMS ship coordinates exchange websites and maybe their own database of discoveries to get you something that would look somewhat similar to what you would describe to them. With the amount of already found ships that's easily doable.
You would pay to get something that you could get for free by using those websites by yourself.

Yeah you're right, I played around with it and you change just one number and you get a whole different ship

Someone else just posted this. There's a Google doc with the seed breakdown,and you can manually edit certain bits to generate different results. I hear its buggy as heck.

Most ship seeds are the 0x and the three next character. As an ex ample, a specific exotic would be 0xACE. Different kind of combination of those 3 character will get you different kinds of ships. You only need the lengthy numbers for specific stuff on the ship colors, guns etc.
If you have the GF editor you can play with that and have fun.

There is an abandoned website called 'NMS seed club' that has a bunch of seeds, you can filter by color, unsure if they break down how the seeds work on their website. There is a mod, paid patreon, that has done all this too and i think on their website if you dig deep into the info section they also talk about seed breakdown.

Messing with seeds can break the game fairly fast if you're not careful so always back up your saves.
