Found the perfect planet, only took me 4 years.
Earth like biome with blue water/sky, refreshing breeze and best of all .... no sentinels. It of course had to be in a pirate system which I don´t mind.

I have found good planets with no sentinels including an anomaly planet where bubbles flow and everything is sort of purple with plenty of wild life and perfect weather. I have however searched for an Earth like planet just to see if I could find one, it took me 4 years of on/off nms playing.

It´s actually also the first time I run into a system in my spawning vicinity that has been discovered by another player, it had the second pirate station I found. So I wonder if someone is using the economy scanner to jump to pirate systems ignoring everything else on the way.

Nice find, congrats!

I also found something special tonight. After 2300+ hours my SECOND Paradise Planet with lush WHITE grass. It features flying beetles, vibrant pink butterflies and purple vegetation. Sadly it has no oceans, but I take it :D

I never settle on planets without water, just doesn´t seem right, I think everything needs water to live, not sure though ... don´t know the secrets of the universe.

The reason for it being that I usually follow the story and don´t want to build a second base just for the water part.

I see a lot of people calling paradise planets with no sentinels the "perfect" planet...I feel like I'm the only one playing the game who actually likes the extreme planets. I tend to build most of my bases on planets with either extreme hazards, aggressive sentinels, or both. It's just more interesting to me.

I do like finding and exploring the paradise and verdant worlds, but I rarely make a base on them.

Ok Kids! Time to show instead of tell. Don't use your worlds to paint a picture. Use a camera! That is what that fun camera feature is for.

At least that is what I do when I want to tell people about the neat things I find.

Does this count as a white grass planet? Red water too. Been awhile since I was there - not even sure what galaxy it's in. Only one of these in about 2000 hrs.

Congrats! Enjoy while you can.

I found my forever home six years ago. My home planet has changed several times over the years. It went from a yellow/red mix with rugged canyons to mesas and giant gullies through green grass and blue sky all the way to purple and pink with bubbles. Still love it but it has seen some changes over the years.

You know what they say about the pretty ones vs the ugly ones. The pretty ones get ugly eventually and not as enjoyable. They ugly ones never change and worth staying with.

Well, maybe they don't say that but Planet Bob has been the same harsh unforgiving death whole it has been since the first day I set foot on it, and almost had it bitten off by several predators. I said, "F it, this is planet Bob, in the system of Bob, were everything that lives here is named Bob." And some of the plants and rocks to.

And even after major changes happened.
Bob stayed true to me.
Even after I lost Bob and spent a fair amount of time to find them.
Bob stayed true to me.
I built a home with Bob, on Bob.... in Bob (now that's levels of crazy).

Bob, is my slice of paradise in this endless expanse.

If you want to know more about Bob and even were Bob is. Normal, first universe.

Then look for my story about Bob I posted. :D

Did you name it BoB or find it that way ... think i named one that once after watching 'What about Bob?'.
Again. Love that movie , seen it dozen times at least.

The last picture in this context reminds me of a old german joke you would make with people.

Losely translated:
A:"Did you hear. They gonna tear down the cologne cathedrale"
B:"No way"
A:"Yes, they do"
B:"What are they replacing it with?"
A:"A telephone booth"

Nope not the only one, extreme Lush with sentinels and throw in some predators and that's my type of perfect...and if the planet is 'HnH' (Hazardous Non-Hazard...as in boundary Failure) then that's just the cherry on top...haven't found it yet Lol (but i'm only 2100+hrs in) but i'll know it when i see it.

...now ii've got Bono's voice singing in my head :steamhappy:

Yes, that is my pattern too. Been trying to find a good planet with an outlaw station... Black Hole as a bonus feature.
Grats on your find.

do you mean first *galaxy*, Euclid?

My most recent base was built on a planet that is a bit deceptive. It looks, almost, pleasant when the weather is nice and you go into photo mode.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2819732931
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2819732937

But it comes through in just a plain steam screenshot.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2819735887

It's even worse when the storms roll in, and the ground itself becomes ablaze.

I picked it for a base because I wanted phosphorous extraction and also didn't have any bases on a planet with storm crystals in this particular save yet. The location has an S-class phosphorous hotspot, a trading outpost 230 u in one direction and another trading outpost 300 u in another direction. And it's a 3-star economy system.

So the spot was, imo, perfect for a small base.
