any way to disable hold tab to skip popup?
hi guys.

is there a way to disable loop progression popups? they are annoying trough the loop, cant do anything, just hold tab again and again....

i had enough when i've reached first loop last part., activated and enemies spawned at the same time as progress poped up and i was dead before i was able to do anything at all...

its annoying when you die by your own fault, or by sentinels, but when game restricts you to enter a exocraft or even defend your self, thats another level... hours of being careful, watching every step just to be killed by stupid ui popup...

It can be modded so that the popup is a much shorter duration even if you don't hold tab, but I couldn't find a way to remove the popup entirely, nor could the other modder that I know who also dug into it.
If you are on a keyboard you can still move with WASD and fire with the left mouse button. The only thing you can't do is use the "E" key (to jump into a ship or exocraft) while the screen is there. I suspect that its intentional behavior. I think the devs can be a little trollish to the players (I'm looking at you anchor point 4).

These popups that disable the use of the E key and a few other functions (like bringing up your inventory or the Esc. menu) are just plain annoying.

Can they not show me information about a planet that I land on without disabling half of my inputs? Does the popup really need to appear every single time I accomplish a milestone or an expedition objective? And sometimes it's even erratic as to when exactly the popup appears, sometimes it is immediately, sometimes it is 30 seconds later when I'm trying to do something.

Like... "You learned 10 words!" about 30 seconds after I touched a Knowledge Stone.

Oh, what's that? You were being attacked by a hostile animal? Sucks to be you, you don't see the indicator, and you can't see your HUD while the animal is knocking you around while you're fumbling to dismiss the popup (that takes 3+ seconds to do).

You can shoot at the animal, but one, you have to know it's there (you won't see the warning icon) and you have no crosshairs so good luck aiming at it, what, with the popup covering most of the center of the screen so you can't even see what's going on.

This needs to change. It's probably one of the worst features in the game.

Anybody found a solution to this yet? It's extremely annoying as you teleport to your base for the 300th time. I can't imagine the mindset of a person who thought this was a good idea :steamfacepalm:

the pause actually allows the area surrounding your 'toon' to render in fully...just sayin'

Terrible design then, it's so annoying after a while. I thought I'd get used to it after 200+ hours, but it's just getting worse.

It can be modded (i think) to disable it or make it take up less time, but i don't know of a mod that does that.

It can be modded to take up less time, but not disabled entirely for (most of) those delay-notifications.

I use a mod to greatly reduce the time for them all. They are still annoying.

I looked. There are mods that remove the black bars when you enter a new star system but they don't affect the bars when you teleport to your base.

The first one shortens more of the different instances of it occurring, but the latter has one change which the first one doesn't.

well if it's your base you shouldn't worry about sentinals - right?

Bummer, they conflict with the mods that remove delays from interactions with NPCs and objects:( Not sure if I can figure this out, LUA scripts maybe... I have no idea how to write them.
