Haha wish I didn't scrap it but at the time it has such low stats and I needed space to get more ships. Now I'm back into Rasa fighters. They have such open cockpit view and the exterior comes in the cutest forms and colors.
edit: I just looked, it's the wiki where I read it. Haulers cap at 42 cargo slots, all other ship types cap at 21.
If that's the case, I'm glad I got this one grandfathered in:

I honestly have never seen a need for the extra storage of the cargo tab and the most I've ever upgraded any of my ships to (so far) is 2 rows worth.
Haulers got an upgrade a few months back.

Oh wait NVM. Haha 48 nice!
That is amazing. It's practically a cargo pod with a booster rocket strapped to it. ;P
I love it. :D
It's basically the Tardis of NMS Ships. ;P
One of the expansions made all starships upgradeable to the same level that the top hauler could start out at which reduced the usefulness of the hauler. In the recent update the devs added the cargo expansions on the starships which the haulers have a higher cap on somewhat restoring the usefulness of the hauler.
With 6 hyperdrive modules installed in your ship there should always be a top tier star system in range no matter what ship you are flying. The question is if you want to click around on the map trying to find it since there isn't anyway to sort for economy level or conflict level on the galactic map. You have to have the scanners installed and you have to search by hand.
...still waiting, HG. more, more, more please
* then the 11th.
...and so on
Just buy and salvage ships. Easy way to find ship augments. A class exploration ships cost about 1.5-2m and you can sell the upgrade schematics for huge load of nanites, if you need to upgrade your ships class.
Plus there is no point to money when you can craft stasis chambers/fusion igniters easy after a few dozen hours.
i don't find the sails to be that much of a problem since they can be seen through... the bigger problem is the moving wing pods (some of?) the sails are mounted on... those are what really cramp the view for me...
if there is a solar ship with the cockpit placed more forward equal to or in front of the sails, i haven't found it yet but i would certainly scarf it up specifically for the viewable area...
