Patterns in time Vykeen cartographer bug

I'm trying to complete the patterns in time quest and i need to talk to a vykeen cartographer, when i do i only get the standard 3 options.

I've restarted the quest multiple times as other forum posts have suggested but it has not worked. ive relogged multiple times but it doesnt work, ive verified integrity of game files but that hasn't worked either.

does anyone have an idea why i cant complete this mission?

Are you going to the specific Vy'keen system that the quest marker shows in the galaxy map and talking to the Vy'keen cartographer that has the quest marker above their head?

Last time I did it, it didn't count if it was just any old Vy'keen cartographer in any old system, it had to be that one specific one that the quest was pointing to. This was a few weeks ago.

There is no quest marker and no vykeen cartographer with the quest marker above their head.

And yes, the quest is set as active

In that case, I don't know what to tell you, because it should be showing the Artemis path quest icon on one of the Vy'keen systems on the galaxy map if you have the Artemis path selected. Without that marker, finding the right one would be a needle in a haystack.

What happens if you go into the galaxy map while having this quest selected and filter until it shows you the way to your current quest by using the arrow keys?

I dont know why, but when i used the arrow keys, as soon as it got to the current quest selection, the quest marker appeared on the system that it went to.

thank you for this, i've been resetting and searching the galaxy map for hours
