Efficient way of farming oxygen?

Hey guys, I'm doing that Chlorine Unit Farm but I'm always running out of Oxygen, Is there an efficient way to get a ton?

Oxygen Harvesters are 250 per 15 minutes, needing fuel, limited to one per "nearby area"; Atmosphere harvesters are slower, at 250 per hour, and they only get Oxygen on some worlds, but you can put three of them right together. Or if you are selling the Chlorine in a space station, trade with all the ships that come in - each one will have a "typical" station trade terminal inventory, which includes guaranteed Oxygen. If you sell your Chlorine for good rather than buying it back, the ships also might not crash the price the way the Terminal would.

With that CL farm- you have money right? Buy it in Space stations. NPC travellers have it after the trade terminals are empty.

I always start off with that position, but them my stubbornness overrules my impatience, and I end up spending hours getting the S-class : /

Every space station sells oxygen, and, of course, the 3* economies have the most, so buy an economy scanner and warp around and buy it.

Even better, if you have many space stations in your teleport list, just go through the list and buy it at every station.

You have to find places to sell the chlorine anyways, so buy oxygen there as well.

I don't really see the point in spending all the time to find an A or S class oxygen source, since you could likely find an AI source in a similar amount of time and just get your income passively, rather than dealing with refining chlorine.

Also, why do you care about A or S class? The difference between S and C class is just a few collectors.

@Faceplant8, it doesn't take very long to find an A class. Far less time that it does to always have to buy oxygen. The difference between hotspots and outsourcing being that once it is set up, it's done and the only limit to the total amount you will have available when you need it is how many silos you build.

Visit a lot of space stations. Buy oxy there from the trade terminals or landed ships, hop station to station using the station teleporters until your inventory is full.

Note that doesn't work as well in PD mode because of the lower inventory cap.

Farming isn't as time efficient as having five refiners on your freighter. Load those up, go have fun for a while, come back, unload the refiners do another circuit selling chlorine and buying oxy. Repeat until sufficiently wealthy.

All you need is a wealthy system space station, visit vendors and ships as they land , enter ship/exit to save repeat as long as you have funds and storage.
No need to visit more then one station.

Space stations don't sell the 3000+ qty like they used to. Now its 800 at most. Easier to extract it. And I don't care what class hotspot it is. Anything works good enough with the power and extractors.

Ships landing have 800ish per + 2 vendors, entership/exit to save repeat until you are broke or full or done.

Big patch of oxygen plants. Put a base near one, use the Anomaly to travel to it, collect, recall to the Anomaly, repeat.
