Report a translation problem
Be aware that you have to put boots on the ground to add a planet to your discovery list. Just scanning it in space does little other than give you the name and some bare minimums about the planet. In MP, it will tell you a tiny bit more if some other interloper already discovered it and/or placed a base there.
If multiplayer is enabled then maybe try disabling it to see if that helps.
also, when scanning the planets from space, try to aim close to the center of the planet when you scan it... i've found that to be the best as aiming at the outer 1/3rd is a c4rp shoot...
It's less of an issue once you figure out what's going on. Forget the cross-hairs for a moment and look at your (main) monitor. Locate its centre; line your planet up with that instead.
