Do you like non-earth colored planets?
In a recent thread talking about lush and paradise planets. A reply talked about worlds with green grass and blue oceans, earth like.

Which got me wondering. Do you want an earth like color scheme on your perfect planet or do want interesting and new colors?

This is not a thread to say one is better then others.

I like a planet that is comfortable. Easy to walk on. No hazards. Preferably no rain, but as for color. I want it to be vibrant. If I had to pick. I would like a Bio-Luminescent planet, with Red or Blue water, Pink Skies and pink or purple grass. I have a nice wine grass perfect planet that is Bio-Luminescent, but no water.

So, what colors you looking for?

Colors don't matter to me so much. I like paradise planets with oceans and the glowing nighttime flora.

One of my favorites planets had a purple/pink color scheme.

Same here, love that scheme.

I found a paradise with red water, red ground and red sky. It was a bit too much to take. (Luckily I found a flying ball pet there that is an even smoother ride than the event worm.)

Doesn't have to be earth like, but don't make my eyes bleed.

Red grass, mud hills, red water, red skies, red leaves on the tree.... me seeing red on how bad the color scheme is. ;P

I am definitely a fan of the bio-luminescent type planets. I do prefer green/blue grass, but can deal with others. I just don't care much for red water.

My home planet (discovered over six years ago) has changed colors over time. Also the basic formations have shifted over time. The basics have remained the same- shirtsleeve weather, sparse sentinels, and friendly critters. I still like it.

Here you go. Green/blue grass, blue-green water. Different enough shades that they don't blend. Listed as a paradise planet, with Beautiful weather. That is the listing. Beautiful! No sentinel activity as well.

The only bad part is. Go to far into land and you get nothing but high ridged mountains ranges. Constant.

Some of the mountains are so high, your in low orbit. My sails come out at this altitude.

Na. Kind of a pariah where I live, since I don't consume a pound of sugar every day. Must be at least 45 years since I have had 'Kool-Aid'. ;)

Yeah, but at least mine had firework trees and was more interesting at night. Still couldn't stand to put a base there.

I like those rare chameleon planets. My QS quest was on one this weekend. It was just so cool. And the planets that are missing one of the primary colors, with invisible storms are interesting too. Have one that is all pinks and golds, browns, totally missing blues and greens.

What are chameleon planets?

Also, picture of that planet you have, please.

I like the variety, but typically don't like red waters and skies, which oddly are very common on lush planets. Earth like planets (blue sky, green landscape, blue waters) with clear weather are rare, hence have intrinsic value from that rarity. Ultimately, the Earth like color palette will resonate more positively with Earthlings. That is basic developmental psych.
