Lush Galaxy
So I wasted all day trying to find a paradise planet so I could just relax and start building and whatnot, when I realized I'm not in a good galaxy for it apparently? I'm in the Euclid galaxy, and it sounds like it's not one of the "lush" galaxies. That just means paradise planets will be more rare here, right, and not just completely non-existent?

I've also read some stuff and watched some vids, and some people say to aim for a galaxy in the 4-6 temperature range with water present, and others say don't worry about that and just aim for water with three star economies. Not sure what the best thing to do here is.

Just warp to Yellow stars and scan planets looking for Lush Biome types like Paradise, Verdant, Overgrown, Tropical etc. That's about it. They will have Star Bulb as a resource.

The way I understood it was actual Paradise planets are different from the other seeming-Paradise planets? I've been skipping the other ones...

Plus almost every single time I get one of those planets, it's got aggressive sentinels lol

Are you just wanting a nice, relaxed planet to live on? Art you looking for an entire system of perfect planets? Are you looking for specific colors and style?

Well, figure I would offer give you the address to a planet I named, Little Treasure. Little Treasure in the System of Bountiful Gathering. There are 5 good sized planets and 1 moon. Little Treasure is that moon. The system is adequate commerce and 2 star combat. So not to much combat, but not really loaded with expensive ships and such.

Little Treasure is one of the most easy travel planets. As in the surface is not overly bumpy. No large mountains or hills. Just fields and fields of wine colored grass with patches of grape. The plant life is mostly green and mushroom style.

The weather is, perfect. I have spent hours with no storms or anything. No rain. Sentinels, but they don't bother you. It's pretty nice. It has craters but they are not to big and can make for a nice build.

The planet is also Bio-luminescent. At night the grass glows in waves and all the mushrooms glow bright. I enjoy the nights on this peaceful planet.

I gave the portal codes for the planet in that last picture. It's in the Euclid galaxy. I discovered it 4 years ago. One of my early explorations. I was lucky I guess and the system gave me a lot of great resources I needed. If you like it, check it out. You don't have to live there. Just thought I would share if you wanted help. I am sure people can toss pretty planets at you all day. :D

Lush and Paradise are similar yet different in game. Lush tends to fall into the 'tropical' category. So while still having star bulb and usually plenty of flora, they will typically have storms, often superheated rainstorms, etc. Paradise and blissful planets (among other names) have a very moderate climate, if that is what I believe you are searching for.

There is also Bountiful, which is what Little Treasure is. It's a Bountiful Moon. With Balmy weather. Which is pretty perfect. :D

Finding a clear weather "lush" type planet is fairly easy, and the only advantage of a "paradise" planet is that it also has no sentinels. Most of the clear-weather Earth-like planets (blue skies, green landscape, blue seas) seem to be non-paradise. For some reason, most paradise planets I've run into have odd-ball colors, heavier on the reds and yellows, maybe purples. Some teal. Occasionally green, but usually with yellow or orange skies.

I normally only put bases on paradise planets, so they aren't that hard to find. Typically, I will find at least one paradise planet every 20 systems or so. Sometimes I search only 1 or 2 systems before discovery, sometimes 30 or more systems. On average though about one every 10-20 systems. This is true even in harsh or empty galaxies. My guess others have less luck because they don't fully scan every planet in a system before moving on. This is important, because if you miss that one paradise planet...you could easily end up visiting 40 or more systems before finding the 2nd one. Being thorough scanning every system will save you a ton of time if you are looking for paradise planets.

I can't tell you how many times I was about to quit looking for an elusive 6th planet in a system, or second moon, and just as I am about to quit looking, I find it, and it is a paradise planet.

I hit my 50th galaxy visited today, haven't seen a single paradise. Plenty of lush type galaxies, with the *vast* majority of them having aggressive sentinels so I just skipped over them... :/

I do scan every single planet before moving on exactly because of what you said - what if that last one was it?

To get to an 'easy' Lush Galaxy, go to the Anomaly. Assuming you are on a PC, go to the Teleporter and jump to the featured base by Beeblebum (Polar Express or something like that), it is in the Eissentam (Lush) Galaxy. Once there, call in your starship, launch off the planet then jump to a system nearby (or as far as your Hyperdrive takes you) to search for a paradise planet. Happy hunting!

I've found a few, but this is by far my favorite: it has flying butterfly sneks.

Yep. Paradise planets occur fairly randomly, about 1% or so of the time, a higher percentage in lush galaxies. You CANNOT tell where they will occur based on system type or temperature range. You must scan every planet in a system before checking another system, otherwise you will very likely miss the one paradise planet or moon in that region. By missing one you will end up checking 40 or more systems instead of 10 to 20.

Half the time though, if there is a paradise planet in the system it will be fairly obvious, but the other half of the times I have found one, it was a struggle to find the planet in the system given the starting position after warping there.

I call them Butterfly Dragons.

Not bad, but a little to much orange.

You should be able to find one fairly easily. I set out to find one the other day and set myself the following criteria. Must be Water based galaxy (I think this is a requirement of being able to have those biomes) and must be T3 (This is purely my preference). Took less than an hour if I recall right because I wanted one that I discovered, otherwise it would have been much quicker. Make sure you're going into each galaxy and actually scanning each planet (sometimes you can tell by planet colour but beware of that because sometimes distance will make a planet look a totally different colour, so scan to be safe). If you don't see a planet type listed as 'paradise' then move on. Think of it as passive nanite farming because you'll be able to turn in the galaxies you're discovering for nanites later on.
