How do i keep ship from spawning half inside my base?
I'm into the "expand your base" part of the Artemis missions, and every time i warp back from a space station or my other base my ship ends up spawning half in and half outside of my base, and of course every time it's also blocking the door so that the only way to get outside is to enter and exit the ship (at which point i spawn on the roof of the building).

Is there some way to keep this from happening? It looks like summoning my ship to a different spot is using up launch fuel, so i'd really like a solution to this.

Make a landing pad.

I do that at almost every base, depending on complexity, and still quite often the ship lands on Ground Next to my building structure. After I get it on the pad, it goes there from that point on. Seems like it needs to Learn..??

Move the base computer and portal thing.

That doesn't seem to be an option yet. Is this something i need to buy the blueprint for at the anomaly?
If the landing pas isn't yet available, add more pieces to the base to expand it horizontally. The ship will try to spawn near the edge which is what frequently causes it to clip into the edge of the base. While you are expanding, add a back door to your base so that even if your ship spawns across one door the other is accessible.

Unfortunately, you need to build the expensive landing pad; the ship won't automatically spawn on the cheap one.

The new landing pad costs 10 carbon. I use it all the time on my Trading Post bases because the game ignores the 8 empty NPC landing pads for some reason.

Yes, they're great for attracting other ships, but you need to use the expensive one to force your ship to spawn somewhere specific when you teleport in.

I know what you're talking about but HG fixed that. The cheap pad works just as well.

Try moving your base computer. Ship landings use it as a reference point.

That's good to know.

Problem seems to be solved. I moved some things around and now it's landing more or less where i want. I went ahead and bought the landing pad blueprint, but haven't actually built one yet.

Thank you all for replies.
