Transferring tech from one starship to another?
Is that possible after the buy?

Just to make sure I clarify, I mean from ships in my collection.

Once you install tech upgrades you can't transfer them to another ship (using in game methods).

Yes, it would be neat to be able to do this. My oldest ship is really tricked out. Some really amazing X class upgrades. Stuff that took a long time to get. No, I have a really sweet sail ship that I want to use, but it's seem so weak and slow. I love the sail ships because I practically never have to refuel sub-light engines anymore. It took some time to get it S class and fully upgraded with slots. Now I am beginning the long trek of getting the best upgrades.

Still, it's nothing compared to my older ship. I miss flying my Pink Neo but I really want to play around with my other cool looking ships. I mean, why collect them if you don't ever fly them. ;P

Yeah too bad about the transferring all around. I want to use 2 Multi-tools; One for Weapons, the other Surveying/Mining. I wish I could A) Find out stats of upgrades before I "commit/install" them, and B) Transfer the upgrades/modules between the tools as appropriate.

Seems like something that a lot of players would like to do. Especially with ships.

Oh, is that the Solar type? I just got one of those. Emptied all my units for it but it's really cool. I've been using my starter ship since I've only been playing the game a week or so, and the other two ships I picked up are in dire need of repair. Might scrap them now.

I was a little sore that I can't keep my old tech, but I can at least add the base tech my other ship has.

They have "solved" that problem by making it insanely easy to get mass nanites and once you know where an upgrade is, you just keep going back for more. As long as you go one system away and come back, you will be able to buy the same upgrade again.

I usually keep a note pad of systems that have upgrades I want and do a big circle collecting them when I am doing upgrades to any of of my stuff.

Ya, the Solar Sail ships are nice for the feature of saving on fuel. Not that fuel was ever a huge problem. It's just nice.

Sad thing is you probably could have found a crashed one in a pirate controlled system. I have found a few that way. Though, buying it does mean you don't have to make repairs. :D
The blueprint modules can be reinstalled but the upgrade modules you purchased can't. I would love it if we can transfer those but I think it's designed as a nanite sink.
