Can not teleport to friend's base

My friend and I are playing in multi-player mode on PC. He built a base and teleporter. I built the biofuel engine and connected it to the teleporter. We then both used it to port to a space station successfully. My friend ported back to his base with no issue. When I tried to port back, instead of saying warp to base, it says Downloading... My friend uploaded the base a couple of times and we have both tried relogging. Yes, the teleporter has power. Anybody know how to fix this?

It really doesn't matter if it has power or not to ge TO it, but you will need power to use it to teleport out of the base to somewhere else.
If you're getting the message "Downloading..." Then go to your "Discoveries" Tab. Look at the bottom and see if it tells you if Discover Services are "offline" or not.
It is likely that you are simply not retrieving recent changes in the universe. It happens. They are probably doing some remote changes - and the take the discovery services offline for a while to do those.

Alright, if that is the case, and your friend's also says it is online (so when he uploads it, the universe updates it, and you can have access to it) then you both need to check your Network settings.
Make sure he has his base settings so Friends / group can see it, etc. Make sure you both have Network mode Enabled - even joining each other's game may get screwy if you don't have it enabled I've noticed.
Just a few things to check. I'm sure others may hop in here with some other ideas.

this a old post but im playing nms first time with a friend and we having the same issue did you ever find a fix?

It can take 24 hours (or longer) for a friend's uploaded base to actually get posted to the servers, especially when there is an expedition going on with lots of calls to the server. Same with your own discoveries or just discoveries in general.

Many is the time I was able to discover a rendezvous system and planets (which HG discovered) because the server was not feeding me up to date data. It fixes itself eventually but it is not instant by any stretch of the imagination.
