Can Anyone Help? PC VR Oculus Quest 2 Update problem.

Since the major freighters update if I boot into VR on MY Oculus quest 2(I hate the name Meta), when I go to do any base building, the game allows me to select the component I want to put in my freighter, then will not allow me to drop it into place EVEN if it is marked green. Then if I try to back out and stop trying to place the object, I can't, there's no button on my controllers I can hold, press waggle or hit that will release the object and return me to the previous menu. It's like the back button has gone.

I did some research and somebody suggested that I reset the freighter. So I did and not I have a default freighter and the exact same issue. This happened a couple of months ago when the major freighter overhaul was done and I would have thought it would have been fixed by now. Any Oculus Quest 2 players know the answer to this conundrum?
