Black ships

Anyone ever found a black ship?
These are the nearest Ive found.. (they look black only in certain lighting)

OK, after a lot of hunting, this is the best I could find... dark greys and low light is as close to a black ops fleet as I'll get I reckon.

On a side note, I hate ship hunting in pirate stations! The amount of times I've seen a black solar come in, only to find that it's actually bright green or something, and it's just the terrible lighting in the space station so you literally cant see anytthing.

Best solution for that is to use the ship scan for a tradepost on a planet with good light and do your ship-hunting there... or on your own freighter.

yeah I do (and I also immediately leave planets with poor visibility and try another one!).. but Ive heard that many 'first spawn exotics' only seem to be 'first spawn' on the space station (mind you, i have had some decent exotics spawn at trade stations so this may not be true)

I wouldn't know. I've seen ball-exotics show up on my Freighter and Tradeposts before. I don't really care for them though, and squid-exotics barely ever show up in the wild. Either way, neither of them seem to come in black (white with black highlights is the best I can find for exotics).

I only just got my Living Ship the other day, so I'm still doing seed-tests for that (i.e. I log into the game just to loiter in the Living Ship system, constantly reloading my save and incrementing the ship seed number to see if I can find a good one). But eventually I want to find a good black ship of every kind (except Shuttle).

I've also got a mid-sized Sentinel-type Capital Freighter (I think the wiki called it Battleship Class) which is naturally all-black.
I don't think I'll ever be able to find all-black Frigates... let alone all-black Living Frigates... but it may be worthing keeping an eye out.

I've found a dark grey royal (see my last photo). Got the glyphs from the coordinates exchange site I think. It's the double folding wing version which looks great in flight, suggest you try one if you haven't already. It's actually the darkest grey of all my ships, because it's Matt whereas the others are more metallic so often look much lighter.
