How many people use Flight Assist Override?
I remember awhile back I had made a thread asking if there was a mod that made it so that when you're flying in space you actually float around like you're flying in space. I ended up receiving answers like "The game wasn't designed with that in mind so get over it" (paraphrasing) and "Install this. *Insert lengthy and confusing mod that requires additional mods and files to work*"

Then I found the Flight Assist Override and it was almost exactly what I was looking for (minus being able to hover on a planet and indefinite drifting).

I'm curious, anyone else use this, or didn't know it existed, or don't like this? Tell me your thoughts. I played for an... embarrassingly l long time before I realized it was a thing. Now being able to fly in space with maintained momentum is possible.

I think it's odd how it's not the default though and that you don't have to install a "Flight Assist" instead of how it's implemented now by having to install an override.

Yes it's good stuff.
I prefer enabling 'Auto Target Follow - Toggle' instead of 'ATF - Hold'.

It's set in the game's General options and allows anyone to pilot the space ships in a fast moving battle far more easily especially when limited by a 16:9 video screen. Upgrading star ships also makes a huge difference to the control, feel and mobility of the star ships.

It's great when using a button controller and feels natural.
