HELP! New Player: Question : Space Anomaly Questline/Artemis.. AM I stuck ? or what do I do ?

Hi all



I am a new player, finished Polar expedition yesterday....

I only have 1 PRIMARY Mission in my Log, called the Space Anomaly : Beyond the System...

I talked with Polo and Nada

It says to Check my Mission Log for ALONE IN THE STARS



I do not have a Secondary mission, called that, at all

In my Primary Missions, I only have , the Space Anomaly PRIMARY Mission is there, and says Beyond the System ?



Objectives: Continue the Search for Artemis

Select " ALONE FOR THE STARTS" in your mission log

what do I do, I have no ALONE IN THE STARS in the Mission Log



I tried googling it, I have no idea what I have to do, or what is next ?

I am anew player, just finished the Polar Expedition yesterday. Can someone help me out ?

Update:

This is really bizarre . I know starting a new campaign in the Polar expeditions is different than the standard start on a planet, and I looked online at all the guides.

However nothing is valid since you finish the expedition, save converts to normal and there is nothing to do in that Story quest ..

Does anyone have a guide that shows how

1 the finish expedition line drops in the Artemis Quest ?

2 I don’t have the alone in the Stars quest in my mission (which is step 2) of that whole questline

Anyone?

I really need an answer here of some kind

The Artemis quest popped up on my E8 save while I was doing something else. I don't know what the trigger is.. It could be a number of warps, planets visited, words learned, etc.

Do you have "expanding the base" mission?

I have never converted an expedition to a normal game so cannot say for sure.

But have you tried warping to another star system?
If you the ability to build a base? Then do so and see if that triggers something.
Can you speak to Polo in the Anomaly about Artemis or anything else?

Both polo and Nada say hi, but just have the Leave option . I ported to another system, still nothing...
The walkthroughs all assume you do the Planet thing, survival, find ship etc..
None address finishing an Expedition and popping in game at the start of the Questlines in NORMAL

Are there any other forums I can ask this question as such ?

General rule with the main missions: When in doubt read the log. Step two, go to space and scan. Step three, try boosting for a bit and see if you get a call on the space phone or a distress signal.

Like Krash indicated, it was not clear what actually triggered the start of Alone among the Stars for me. Just keep exploring planets to build up nanites and gather salvaged data and it will probably just happen. You are going to need both anyway so it will keep you busy until the mission click in.

This took a day or so to pop for me after I finished the expedition. It's been a couple weeks, so I don't remember exactly, but just go about your business, it'll pop eventually.

Exactly why I mentioned the "expanding the base" mission. It has 4 sub-missions to keep players busy while they collect free blueprints. I was probably working on that when the Artemis mission reared its ugly head.

Did you convert to a normal save? Nothing happens until after you convert.

When I converted it was the next warp that started triggering the normal game missions.

It definitely works. Lost my old save between upgrading computers, So I used Polestar to start a new one since you have a decked out freighter, all the glyphs, and a good chunk of units. Been working through the normal questlines.

I believe I started the base computer quest line by building the base computer on the ground. I then was called to do some honey dos by my significant other so saved and logged out of game. When I got back and restarted the game the base computer and Atrimis quest lines were active. At least that is what seems to have started it for me after completing the Polestar expedition and converting to a normal save.
