How to get Frigate upgrade modules?

None for Frigates.

Freighters.. get at vendors is Stations, once you have rep' / level with the local race.

do you mean one per mission consummable modules that you can place in one of the 3 slots available on frigates?

i think you build them out of BP if you have correct componnents.

BPs from either manufacturing centres or operations centres.

Frigate (and not freighter) upgrades, those workable 1 time for a mission only, you must shoot sentinel ships in space to get them. Else, I'm not quite sure, I remember you may get the blueprints for them in Manufacturing buildings or Outpost buildings (both have locked doors), maybe you can buy in these 'minor settlements', go look at the vendor.

Freighter upgrades (not frigates), you get them at the ship upgrade vendor in space stations (not always).

Blueprints from the manufacturing/op facilities, and the recipes use the ground based sentinel remains (quad servo, walker brain etc). One of the recipes does use NPC sold junk.

Alternatively go shoot down sentinel ships like Japp said, thats probably more straightforward.

They only add +10 to a stat though, so the times you'd use them to bump up your fleet rating are kinda minimal. you can use 3 of the same one if you need to.
