Endurance update: Freighter rooms

im trying new update and i don't see freighter room options. when i stack corridors, there are pillars in every corner.

is it possible to make empty freighter rooms like before, now? needs blueprint or something?

There are rooms like before, but you need to unlock them using the freighter upgrade terminal on the bridge.

So it's still possible to da 5x5 rooms?

my main areas are like 9x9 of the expansion rooms which make it look like an open floor plan... then i add the other rooms around the edge to make that whole area 10x10... just look closely at the rooms in the build menu... there's an expansion room for each of the technology, industrial, and growing room styles...

oh, yes... you have to have unlocked them all with the frigate modules, too... be sure to visit the freighter upgrade terminal on the bridge... it is directly in front of you when you enter the bridge from the buildable area... or on the opposite side of the central console from the captain if you prefer to look at it that way...

Yes, here is a 5x5 farm area. Expansion rooms + planter rooms.

Rooms of the same type will not have the pillars between them.

Awesome thanks, i was afraid empty rooms were removed. Have to check upgrade menu now.

Here's a video example of what you can build mixing outdoor parts and indoor parts, using rooms as "walls". If you like big, empty rooms, maybe that's more what you're looking for. No glitch building required, all snap to grid stuff.

Yeah, take a look at the upgrades available on your Freighter bridge (upgrades & parts).
There should be rooms available for Salvaged Frigate Modules as Construction Parts as base building pieces for the Freighter.
There are the Biological Room (Expansion), Industrial Room (Expansion), and Technology Room (Expansion), as well as an Interior Walls part.
They are all empty rooms space that can give you open area to build in.
I've also found that I can build the Reinforced Window piece in-between sections to give an open feeling windowed area like a lab or a kitchen etc.
