Do you have any coords for S class scanner upgrade?
I was in 20 space stations and NO scanner upgrades

Go for x class. Go through pirate systems and check their x class vendor. When you find one that has 1 or preferably more than one scanner mod for sale buy them all then jump in and out of your ship to make a save point.

Reload from that save point and the mods will be back in stock to buy again. Keep repeating and work through all the mods that you buy until you end up with 3 good ones installed.

When you find a station selling S class stuff you want, make a note (on paper). You just have to leave the system and go to another and back, you can buy the S class upgrade again.

I usually set up a series so I am jumping between three or four and able to pick up fresh upgrades in each one. Saves a lot of time as long as you got the nanites to spend.

Per the above suggestion, X class from pirates (also from opening technology packets) is the way to go nowadays.

I read in wiki that, mods only reroll when you install them. Is that true? Buy and install till you find max stats is only way. But you will spend all nanintes

Kinda. It's more complicated than that. The seed #'s are independent of the actual mod, so If you're willing to test then reload you can figure out which mods work best in whatever installation order, then install junk mods and delete them until you get to the right spots in the order for 'good rolls' but most of the time I don't bother.

It's not that big a deal. A very good X mod (S or better, sometimes much better) is not that rare. You will usually get 3 good ones or better from 6-10 tries. You can get 1000-2000 nanites just from refining the cores that will be on sale nearby. You can also buy suspicious tech packages and open them, then sell the ones you don't want for some more nanites. Then go to the next pirate station and repeat.

I want to emphasize that the best X modules are better than the best S, and in some cases are *much* better. The same game you play looking for "best" S module, you should be playing with X modules instead.

I have four class B experimental and alien multi-tools to upgrade, so a few 1000 nanites doesn't really bother me in comparison with the 300,000 I need to round up, on top of the 75,000 I already spent on another alien multi-tool.

I'm sure I'll start tripping over class S alien and experimental tools as soon as I've upgraded the ones I have.
