Artemis Decision (Spoilers!)
So, I just got to the point where you choose to let Artemis into the simulation or let them die. However, I'm not sure what to choose! I think I'm going to let them die, but I'm not sure. Also, I'm trying to read me to what I should do. Also I need to stop spoiling myself >_<
Edit: I apologize that this is not in the Spoiler section...

You should do what feels right for you... ;)

(and maybe move that one into the designated Spoiler-section of the forum)

Is there going to be a different ending depending on what I choose?

No, that decision will not change the outcome of the storyline.

I decided to let him die, I felt what it was the right thing to do.

I just decided to let him die because realistically everyone and everything dies eventually, such is how life should be.

If it doesn't really progress the story but I have to deal with a couple of interruptions later in the game, and its just a game anyway, I'll let it die.
I know it feels like a female but I don't recall gender being discussed in game and there doesn't seem to be a real point to this part of the storyline anyway...Well other than that I now have a couple useless recipes that probably are only useful in this story tangent anyway. Just saying. ;)

I want to believe since... ok [SPOILERS]

I want to believe since we also exist within a simulation, rescuing Artemis could be viable if we chose to get them to the sub universe at the anomaly. I believe it strongly since Artemis can communicate with us outside the anomaly after their fate has been decided. At the very least knowing that the bounds of our universe can be subject to simulation logic can potentially allow us to exploit them to travel between all sorts of simulations, Artemis/Nada´s included.

I really hope so, recently i played through the main quests and it made me realize some things now do not seem completely as lost or definite as before.

So, like, literally the premise to the game.

Having done this, it makes no difference, she was already dead and will continue to torment you from the grave though her head be severed, eyes filled with silver and buried neath a crossroad. (I'm sure you get the idea ...)

well yeah i mean, kind of. The premise of the game is throwing yourself into the center of the galaxy, everything around it just happens.

There actually is some consequence to this choice, but it's hard to find a definitive answer, but there was someone on gamefaqs who wrote some interesting stuff:

"I just want point out for future folks who are struggling with this decision that if you do put Artemis in the simulation you will later speak to their projection. You are then given the option of continuing your deception or telling the truth. You are given three options on how to break it to Artemis if you so choose (being direct, positive or apologetic).

Regardless of your choice, telling the truth ends the communication with "I will never forget how their smile falters. After a few more questions they tell me they need some time to think about what I have said."

Alternatively, if you lie, you are able to speak to Artemis immediately afterward and trade for some goods and information.

I have no clue of the future effects of each choice (or if there even is any) as this is as far as I have got. It has made me sort of regret going the simulation route but oh well."

Im not even sure which option I chose at the time. Lol

I recall starting a new galaxy, but not sure if that's the same quest.

I know there's a terminal in the portal area of the Anomaly Station related somehow to one of those quests but don't understand the significance of purpose of it.

He'll I'm not even sure if I've even actually finalized either the Atlas or Artemis quests

Is there any way of knowing where we are in these progressions. Telltale signs, etc.

I always put Artemis in the simulation when I play through a save. For whatever reason, I always assume where there is life, there is hope. I always hope for a final concluding story mission where we fix the Atlas- or at least make the attempt.

From a game play view, it makes no difference which option you take.
