Best place to sell or use extra mods you get you dont need?

Not sure about much of the new stuff as far as tricks, sale, trade... and most vids are old tricks or economy set ups from like 2020. Thanks in advance!

you mean the tech. upgrades for your ship, exo or the multi-tool?

i never realize a difference in selling them on different stations.

i think just because they are green, blue, pink or gold the (buy-/sell-)prices are diff.

but maybe im wrong...
and i have like 200K nanites in my bag a.t.m, so i dont look at this ;-)

You can sell your unused upgrades to the NPCs who sell them in the space station.
To sell, you switch in their menu from buy to sell.

You can go three ways with the upgrades. Sell them for naites, sell them for units or install them and collect or sell the raw materials you can get from scrapping them. Some of them can be reasonable sources of harder to get materials like Cadmium.

You can sell mods to the same NPCs where you buy them. That was not obvious to me for the first 40 hours. There is something in the UI that makes it look as if you can only buy from these NPCs not sell.
I only noticed that after watching a video on ship scrapping.

Yup you SHOULD be able to just hit the "sell" tab on any vendor that also has the "buy" option. There is no difference in prices so sell them to whoever you want.
