What is the deal with the interceptors spawning for ever every 4 seconds?
So I've got to a resource depot and shot one of the resource tanker there. Oh boy, hell broke lose. They send interceptor after me. First time I've seen them.

I've fought waves and waves of drones on foot yesterday, got on my ship landed fought again till all those wanted stars got full. No interceptor showed up.

Now one resource tanker destroyed, one star wanted level and they send waves of 3 to 6 interceptors every 5 seconds.

I've got out of the planet, they keep showing up. Since they show every 5 seconds I have time only to charge the engine to full speed, I can't even point towards the station icon. I wanted to get inside the station maybe the time runs out.

Not possible, if I fly the ship to line up with the station they are already on to me and I need to fight them. i don't have the time to also charge the engines.

I've fought like 10 waves of them till I've run out of shield recharge and just alt+f4 the game and got here to complain about it. Even if by some luck I would had more shield recharge resources this just got ridiculous.

When in space, if you get in a sentinel battle, there are five waves/tiers. The fifth is where the sentinel freighter warps in. After you kill the two waves of sentinel fighter ships associated with the sentinel freighter, the fight is essentially over.

On the surface, when you are out of your ship and start a battle with sentinels, there are five waves/tiers ending with the death of the Walker. Once you win the fifth wave, the battle is over and you receive the location of the sentinel pillars/base.

But if you start a sentinel battle in your ship in the planet atmosphere, it seems to go on without ending until you break off the fight by fleeing. This has happened to me twice. I was in three star conflict systems both times, so I don't know if this is always the case. This is an area that needs some tweaking imo.

I found a Trade station and a manufacturing facility right across from each other. Literally a boost away. Farming is gonna be fun.

Easiest way to hit these depots is to land, place a base. Build a structure around the tanks, go inside and blast them. The sentinels will remain outside your structure, and you just wait out the sentinel timer. When the sentinels relax, destroy your structure, delete your base, and take off with the loot.

This also works for those facilities with the locked doors.

That sounds like....so much trouble to go through. And you're saying that's the easiest way?

Bruh. First of all, the first wave of sentinels is never that dangerous to begin with, and second, they have stormtrooper aim most of the time. Just keep moving and you'll be fine.

I've also had success running around the depot, blasting the five storage silos, digging a quick tunnel and waiting for the sentinel timer to run out. Pretty quick process, really.

Yeah, great idea too. Watch out now, though, since the update the sentinels can navigate simple tunnels. You have to zig zag a bit.

Yup, I always angle the tunnel down until I hit bedrock or at least until I've gone a fair ways to make sure they can't shoot me through the ground. Not usually an issue with wave 1 sentinels but walkers and the quads can if the tunnel is not deep enough. Finally, I make a short turn in my tunnel at the bottom to the left or right and put myself in it ready to shoot any sentinel that may follow me down. Rarely happens, tho.

The first problem here is very simple. There is no reason to shoot the depots from your space ship. At all. Ever.

You land, you shoot them with the grenade launcher, they explode, you shoot the sentinels that annoy you, and then you drill a hole through the ground or jump into a cave, and wait for the timer to go away.
Boom. All the problems you encountered, you forced them to happen.
It's all on you.

Not the game.

Next time, do what everyone has done since the very beginning of this game with Resource Depots.
Grenade THEM.

finally someone that knows what he is talking about. so I've started the battle from ground but then moved to space. probably triggered the bug as I've seen no big ship way. I will write this down as a bug if the intended behavior is to have a finite number of waves.

for the rest of the "get good" crowd listen to this guy first.

I didn't had a grenade but also I've not shot them with the ship. so don't know why the flying drones where called. probably because I've jumped into the ship after destroying the depot. make sense actually.

Insulting other people and ignoring what they say when they speak the truth is very frowned upon sir.

Why do you continually come to these forums and pick fights? If all you are going to do is order people what to do, you will never get a positive response. Everyone since the beginning of the game has not done anything one way. I myself have shot storage depots from the air and from the ground many times. When you come off like there is only your way, no one will take you seriously. What truth? There is no truth on how to play this game or any game. Chill out of go do something else. : )

Please don't attack me for no reason, it's rude.
There is literally no reason to be hostile or go after me for saying what I know people have been saying since this game has come out.

Even if the meta has changed over the years, and I am out of the loop, it doesn't make sense to claim I'm being bad here.
Nor am I hostile. I have never been hostile. Even to those who go after me for bizarre reasons.

You are literally the only one being hostile here. Claiming bad things about me that completely go against all recorded information, including my post history on this forum.

Yes, I am defensive. Very defensive. But that's not normally a bad thing. Please just do not start a fight with me here. It just makes no sense.
The old school people know me and how I am.
ASK them how I am.
Don't naturally assume malicious intent.
THat's literally beyond tacky.

See...I carry around enough materials to create an exocraft summoning station (in case I can't call my freighter or forget), then hop into my minotaur to deal with depots. Just strafe and pound it. Pound it hard and long until it explodes.

Then I hop in my ship and run the hell away.

Never thought of that. DOH!
