Where did my nanite clusters go?

I just realized I can refine viscous fluid multiple times to end up with nanite clusters. My refiner said I had 5 nanite clusters and when I tried to transfer them to my exosuit inventory they disappeared.

They normally just add to your nanite count. With only five, it may be you missed the small change in the total.

My favorites are collecting the unusual specimens under the water and curious deposits on land. They both produce a ton of nanites and you only need to go through one processing step.

The ones under the water are easier to find and you got to explore there anyway. Tip: Use your terrain manipulator if they are stuck under rocks/plants. You won't release the jellies that way.

nanites go into your wallet (the bank at the top left showing your credits, nanites, and quicksilver)... they're not an item taking any of your inventory slots...
