As I progressed some stations no longer showed as options in the Transporter list tho if I travelled back to one of the other previous stations then the other "missing" stations showed up as option from there.
Maybe they've introduced a distance or using junction points now to require you to travel through some points to get to others ?
Have fun & stay safe out there Traveller 🖖
*(It means you’re a noob, jesh can no one read between the lines, pick up on my ‘warped’ sense of humor?).
I think it's a valid question, considering the two stations that vanished are the the last two stations I both discovered and visited in the last galaxy, whereas 7 other stations from that galaxy which I had discovered and visited earlier than them are still available.
Or are you saying only a noob would ponder and wonder about baffling things happening because it's just "to be expected"?
At first I thought you were poking fun at me not knowing something that "everyone who plays knows"...
But know it crossed my mind that there would be a limit to the entries in the teleporter list.
So currently i have 90 entries (21 bases and 69 space stations). So it looks like that there may be a total of 10 pages (9 entries per page).
Can somebody who really know about the limits confirm that there is a limit of 90 entries (10 pages)? Or explain how the teleporter list exactly works.
I prefer factual comments, useless ones don't help.
10 pages always was the limit, yes.
They made it easier, though, by filtering now so that you can have more bases and teleporters to appear in the list. But ten pages per filter, yes.
They were the last two systems I visited right at the end of the expedition. I'm pretty sure one of them was the final expedition goal, and those systems, if I remember right, all were considered discovered by "Hello Games".
Thank you @SaD-82. I didn't know about this limit. So I have to reconsider how I manage my bases. I don't understand Hello Game's concept. There are 256 galaxies, one can have max of 200 bases (not even one in every galaxy), but via teleporter you can only travel to a max of 90 of your bases.
I have only visited 10 galaxies so far, but have already lost direct access to a few of them. For me this seems to be a bit of annoying.
I keep a record of noteable items for sale at space stations which I visit, including what S-Class upgrades are for sale as well as less common galactic trade terminal items which I may buy. That's the only reason I noticed they were missing....I had checked my list for stations that sell some upgrades I wanted to go buy.
I see, I cannot tell what's wrong. You didn't change the filter in the menu? That would hide some stations.
Unless you didn't go back to a previous galaxy this sounds like the exact same bug that should have been fixed a long time ago.
Maybe reintroduced? Maybe a new one?
And can you start a new save, speed up the progress of changing galaxies and see if the same occurs?
Unless other people will jump into this thread and tell that they have the exact same bug, that is. Just to be sure that it's something consistent or if it's just this save that got f'ed up.
On a side note: Those stations you did visit in your normal gamemode or did you have a multiplayer session going at this point?
As for multiplayer, I was in and out of multiplayer a few times in the 24 hours before it happened. I normally play with multiplayer disabled, but had toggled it on to do some Nexus missions, then back off after. Pretty much how I always have played.
I'm not going to start a new save to see if I could duplicate the issue, more bother than it's worth (to me). And it could just be something mucked up on this save.
It's an expedition save, but then I went offline and set my computer time ahead to end the expedition early so I could start getting the missions related to base computer and the various terminals....I want to keep playing this save and there are some recipes that you can't get any other way so I was impatient....and I'm sure that could muck things up after I went back online.
