Moving Freighter to new base

After going thru a few black holes and ending up on the opposite side of the galaxy, I found a planet I liked better than the one my base was on and built a new base. When I try to summon my freighter I get a message that it's too far away. How do I move my freighter across the galaxy? Even if I could target my final destination, moving it manually from star system to star system would take around 600 jumps.

Are you in a red/green/blue system? The freighters need special tech to reach those, that's the only limitation they have, distance is not an issue.

Says "warp drive insufficient" and I thought it was because of range. Thanks....will look into upgrading.

They have a problem with pirate systems as well.

I have the same problem. After being sent to the new galaxy, I was able to summon my freighter. I warped to a nearby system and it wouldn't let me summon my freighter. I went back to the starting galaxy and was able to summon it all the way back there. Makes no sense.

Same logic as ships. You have to have the right color sun drive to go to certain ones. You need salvaged frigate units to buy the ones for the freighter.

That IS the message you get when you don't have the correct drive installed.
