The Purge mission

I have started the Purge mission. It brings me back to an Atlas. I have to craft another heart of the sun. It says I have to do this 16 times?? You have to be kidding me. How boring. I get another star seed that doesn't even show up in my inventory?? I made another post about star seeds and they don't stack. Am I missing something here or am I just warping from one Atlas to the next to use up all my resources to keep crafting heart of the sun?

Each Component you Craft is an Ingredient of the Next Item you Craft.
Craft 16 Dif Items. Last I think is Star Seed..?

You are confusing missions. There is the group known at the Artemis missions- with the final in that bunch called the purge.

The Atlas Path is another mission where you craft stones and birth a star. You can repeat it as often as you want but once you do it once, there is no real point.

Just keep warping and you will complete the purge. Nothing else is required until the end.

As said above, you are mixing up the quests, the purge comes after Artemis dies and you decide to reach the center of the galaxy.

They did not make it confusing. The Purge will sit and every time you warp you get a new glyph. Then it's done.

Altas, you make the seed items as you travel to new systems following the path to the next Atlas. When you get there you talk to the Atlas and get the next item. At the same time you warped so you also get next glyph. Two separate quests advancing at the same time.

Whatever quest you have SELECTED is the one it gives you instructions to. The next time you warp, ignore anything atlas. Dont warp to an atlas point, dont go in an atlas diamond thing. ignore it. Make sure the purge is selected in the log. never let the game switch the selection, it likes to do that. check it often and make sure the purge stays selected. eventually the dumb thing will stop trying to make you do more atlas crap, but t must be ignored for a while.

this is why i LOATHE the quest lines and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quest log that constantly does what it wants and chooses ♥♥♥♥ for you.

No exactly correct for the Purge. It advances regardless of being selected. Which is why the confusion I think.

True, but having atlas selected will screw everything up.

Did I mention the quest log designer should... have BAD luck?

Awakenings/The Pürge involves trying to find Artemis, meeting Apollo, etc.

Both quests are completely unrelated to each other.

It might be clearer if you select "Galactic Core" on the Galaxy map. That's all that matters. The glyphs keep accumulating.

Something is wrong with my game then. I DID the Atlas path quest and got the star seed. I went through one black hole and don't remember anything particular happening except that I had to repair my ship.

Artemis is long gone in my game.

WHY is it telling me I have to do the Atlas thing 16 times???? Nobody has addressed that?

I do have the Purge selected. I also have the Atlas option in my main quests which makes no sense because I already finished the Atlas stuff.

Just to be 100% clear I ALREADY did the whole Atlas quest where you go to a ton of Atlas's and have to acquire each item to build the next. That is why this is so confusing.

You must be reading the information in the log wrong. Unless you can produce a screenshot that specifically sez to travel to the Atlas 16 times, I would vote you are misinterpreting the information.

The Atlas Path, for some unknown reason, never goes away from your log. You can repeat it indefinitely, but there is no real point to do that...unless you just like the concept of birthing stars (pervert..I mean differently socialized).

As explained, the purge just wants you to warp in any direction 16 times. It sez go to the center but it does not care where you warp to. You will then get a call to go to the Atlas and get the remainder of that story. (you get some choices)
