Did they nerf the frequency of S class and exotic ships?
Prior to the last patch I was finding S class and exotic ships frequently in star bases. Now I have not come across a single S class or exotic ship in the last 3 days. In my experience, nothing below an S class provides storage augmentation for scrapping a ship. I am currently camped out at a wealthy system and have saved and reloaded multiple times.

I haven't seen a single exotic in Exp6 as of yet, nor an S class of any other type. Yet I did acquire several storage augmentations; the ship being scrapped does not have to be S class (although this does help). A class and haulers can yield them, but not as reliable.

same. Bit bored since

No change on my normal "farm for scrap" stations and more s-class ships on pirate stations than I would expect: "Oh look, another s-class solar ship." To the point where they seem to come in c-class or s-class only.

I scrapped a bit in Expedition 6 and also noticed no exotics, although that could just be chance. I did see plenty of solar sail ships though, so I ended up grabbing one of those in exchange for the crappy C-class starter ship. I also did some nanite scrapping, although due to the dual cargo sections now, ships are more expensive, so your units don't go quite s as far. For scrapping for nanites though, you don't need S-Class....A and B class work just fine and you will get lots of inventory augments too.

Currently outlaw station has better S spawn rate (5%) than normal stations (0~2%).
For exotic ships, its spawn rate actually got a nerf because the new solar ship type generates on top of other ships (generate a non-solar, then roll a dice to decide if we convert it into a solar). From what I've heard, the new solar ship models may replace existing models in the system (confirmation needed) so there might be a chance some system will no longer spawn exotic models.

S class drops 1-3 for 100% chance, but A class drops 0-2 for a >50% chance, so scrapping A class ships and expecting about 1 per ship is more practical than waiting for S class. Best way would be camping in a Korvax T3 station, so you have maxed chance to spawn an A explorer, which is usually below 1.5M, for efficient investment.
Try not to camp for shuttles, because they have various penalties when scrapped, including the quantity and drop rate of storage augmentations.

Yes, that. The bulk of my scrapping has ALWAYS been non-S class ships, and I always ended up with more storage modules than I could use to fully upgrade a ship, and moreover, many nanites as well, enough for all upgrades and modules. S-class does seem to have higher drop rates, (as well as the higher nanite-value S-Class modules), but their scarcity actually makes them less efficient sources for both nanites and storage augmentation modules.

Got an Exotic in the starting system less than an hour after starting the expedition so they definitely exist, though obviously some luck is involved.

As for scrapping i go for everything B-class or above that's under 3 mil, selling the various trade wares scrapping gets you usually lets me break even or at least come close.
I get plenty of storage augmentations too.

I got this exotic towards the end of Expedition 6. (in Euclid)

Since then I've seen about five different exotics in my journeys. Two days ago I actually found a space station with a first wave exotic. (in Paholiang)

Within the last few days I have seen about 20 S-class ships (5 or 6 exotic) on space stations and trading posts. Sometimes it needs some patience.

Interesting. So far I never got a storage augmentation modul when scrapping an A-class ship. That's why I only look for S-class.

There's been no change to the spawn percentages, just the addition of solar replacements and the outlaw economy with 85\5\5\5% chances.

I picked up a couple exotics along the way in E6. I saw a couple of S class fighters but didn't buy them.

Fresh Survival save, in my starting 2* system, while I was buy/swap/scrapping ships, I hit a dry spell. So I saved, quit then reloaded. Not only did I get 2 Solar ships, they were both “S” class. A touch under 4 mil & one was mine, couldn’t get to the second one in time.

Heck of a start! even if both Solars were red :(

Since Outlaws hit, I only travel to pirate systems. I've seen 6 different exotics and a dozen+ S class ships. Yesterday in my freighter TWO S class explorer ships came in at the same time.

I picked up an S class Solar Ship recently on my new save. I have seen only one exotic, but it was not the type I like. I did see an S class freighter but cost too much for me early game.

So, I think they are out there. I know I have gone weeks before and not seen anything S class.

Exactly. I have never received a storage augmentation from an A class or lower. Only S class. And the S class ships are always affordable. Around 1 to 2 million. I am only after storage augs at this time.
