Directions Needed. In Blighted Expedition.

Have boobed! Got to 5th rendezvous thru. portal. Started to do my own thing instead of heading to Galaxy centre. Now lost. Directions needed.

I don't know if during this expedition you need to travel through this particular system, but you can choose 'Galaxy Center' in Galaxy Map to guide you to nearest Gateway system. From that system you'd be able to go to another galaxy. You probably will land in the same system as everyone.

5th redezvous was specifically set up to put you at a gateway system. There may be something special about that system, as it seemed like you could jump to the center from it without any special hyperdrive upgrades installed. (Normally you need like 500 unit+ hyperdrive ranges). Or it may be that as long as you have the expedition requirement highlighted as your current mission, you just jump from any gateway system. Either or.

Open the galaxy map and select current mission with the arrow keys. (Make sure you've selected the expedition goal on the expedition progress menu to set it as your current mission). Now, see if it starts pointing you at systems you've already visited. Once you get to the gateway system you want to open the galaxy map again. Keep "Current Mission" selected, DO NOT go into Free Look mode in the galaxy map. Now, as you move your mouse around, you'll see a little yellow line, line that up with the line to the center of the galaxy and hold down E once it does... should select the center, and then start charging the warp. If you do it right, a cutscene will play and you just need to wait out the cutscene. From there, just follow along the mission prompts from the expedition about building a base computer and finishing the expedition.

i'm confused...you say you've reached R5 (as in popped the badge for it...yes?)

so wot do you have outstanding?

apart from the rendezvous milestones...i think all other milestones can be done anywhere.

if you've missed the secondary pirate map treasure location (which you get on the other side of the portal) you could see if...

a) you have the system (the one after coming out of the portal) in the teleport list at a space station...go back, reselect the mission and see if the location shows up
or
b) see if resetting the mission will give you a new location.
