Does a freighter take the same amount of fuel to make a jump as a regular ship?

"Each warp between star systems consumes one Warp Cell which is the equivalent of 20% of the Hyperdrive's fuel supply. A hyperdrive can be precharged with up to 5 warp cells. It can also be fueled with a Warp Hypercore. Installing proper hyperdrive upgrades, bought from Technology Merchant, in the ship will boost the range and create synergy."

"A freighter hyperdrive is fully charged with 5 Warp Cells or one Warp Hypercore. Installing hyperdrive upgrade modules found in Derelict Freighters will increase a range and may reduce fuel consumption just like in a regular Starship."

You can increase the efficiency of freighter engines with Freighter Hyperdrive upgrades obtained as Salvaged Fleet Units from Derelict Freighters. The Warp Efficiency can be increased up to 8.0 on an S-Class Freighter which allows 120 jumps on a full tank (one Warp Hypercore). You can obtain 4.0 on an A-Class freighter which will allow 60 jumps per tank.

A fully upgraded S-Class Freighter can jump over 6300 ly per warp and can make the journey to the center of the galaxy with only one Warp Hypercore. It is the most efficient warp machine there is.
