dune planets
Have anyone found desert planets like the movie Dune ? A sea of sand to the edge of the horizon ?

A little like those airless planets, but with sands

I always wanted a planet that was nothing but grass, with mostly flat ground, maybe some slight rolling hills.

But anything that comes close always has other small plants and rocks.

Ive seen that, actually, found a ?paradise? planet that was gentle rolling hills and golden wheat grass as far as the eye could see, no sentinels either, I wish I'd marked it for later

Dune and True water world is direly missing from this game. It sucks that max depth on the planets is barely deeper than a swimming pool lmao.

max depth is about 60 meters.

It is shallow but that probably enables the game to be as fast as it is by not having to calculate massive amounts of voxel effects. Minecraft and 7 Days To Die can bring a machine to its knees with explosions.
I'd like to see a Dune like planet too. I've seen the new Dune movie twice now. They did a great job. The first Dune movie back in the 1980's IIRC, was terrible.
I kind of like this place...it's in Hesperius.

Usually, sand in NMS is restricted to a narrow band around bodies of water. This planet was very strange in my experience. It had vast areas of sand contrasted with a black hard rock/dirt material.
