Start game -> extreme heat -> die while reading tutorial

it was always this way. if you start a new game it will spawn you on a planet with heat, radiation etc. this is the way how the game teaches you to survive. just follow the tutorial

Find your ship, get in to take shelter and that'll give you some time to figure out how to proceed. Did you start in survival too? I think normal mode doesn't start you out on an extreme world, might be a little better for ya. Hope that helps!

of course i started in survival, i dont want to play a screen saver.
And lol, yeah the game directs me exactly on what i have to do like a dunce, but it also sucks on its delivery.

see where im going with this ? You cant throw over 9000 new information on a player while also putting him in lava, its beyond annoying, game design failure is whoever cooked up this "tutorial" lol.

Also, the ship is in an unreachable chasm, this is also intentional for a nice time sink i assume ? Well, game has 80 min left to convince me not to refund, not sure if this was good idea.

Yes. I see you started on a difficulty you weren't prepared for because you don't understand the basics and are now blaming the game instead of your own lack of understanding.

Did you REALLY finish Dark Souls III? Because I doubt you blamed those deaths on the game.

to get to it i have to somehow jump down to some chasm, i guess this is all part of the intentional design for me to waste time running around, finding edge to crawl down too ?

Survival is meant to be a bit of challenge, but sometimes RNG where Sodium spawns can be a bit.. awkward. I started new save recently, and there was basically no Sodium plants around me, just one tiny lil thing.

If you want, you can somewhat cheese the first minute difficult by activating camera mode and turning the game into night. Sodium plants glow, so they'll be extremely easy to spot during night time, and you can run for one without repairing scanner first.

But funnily enough, Survival isn't really that difficult, outside of literally first 5 minutes. As soon as you find your starship, you are well prepared and shouldn't run into situation where you are all out of survival supplies.
