Of course you can get one. AFAIK they lay eggs as all the other pets. I can check in a few days, when I’m home again
I am talking about the robot dog, the one that appears when having 3 star bounty when fighting the drones. I saw that to get the robot dog as a companion you get it as an expedition reward. Am I wrong?
The robot dog is an Expedition reward. However it will lay eggs (robot egg?) And someone can gift you an egg.
It is likely the Expeditions will return in the fall after the Switch released. But that is speculation on my part.
You have a slight mix up but you are right in general. You can ask for a robot companion egg on the nms sub Reddit, or remind me in a week when I’m back at my pc
that is what I mean. If a new players buy the game like in 2 weeks in the future (just an example) he/she will be locked from all the content of old expeditions. Players will not be able to gain access to unique items. I understand if the item was locked by progress, where you need to play to get certain item, but to locked forever and just a few manages to get the item leaving the mayority of players just hanging there without being able to get the item they want.
They already did one replay of Expeditions last winter, 99% chance they will do that again after the Switch launch.
Be patient.

Dont even need to edit any files.
I'm hoping they eventually make them permanently available via the Nexus.
