Wow. And I thought I was the only one. Thank you very much for this link!
I have one base where I build a reception room under the teleporter. so I load in and immediately fall into the reception room lol
Brilliant! I love solutions like this
The problem is related to the load times of the base elements. Essentially, you transport in but the floor hasn't fully loaded yet, so you fall through it. By the time you land, the floor (which is now above you) has loaded. I noticed the same problem when walking across a large base, and saw sections of the floor still loading as I walked on them (so I fell through.) If I walked VERY VERY slowly, I could avoid the problem.
The fix is to adjust your base complexity settings, forcing more elements to load. This taxes your system, however, and could cause problems. You need to set your base complexity as high as your system will allow. BUT WATCH YOUR CPU/GPU TEMPERATURES. Even then, for very complex bases, you may still have the problem sporadically. You may want to reduce other settings (shadows, reflections, etc.) to offset this load.
This does appear to be a problem related to the new updates, so it should get fixed eventually.
