Can you change game money into nanites.......??

I finally know what I need to do with my game and i realised I am now drastically short of nanites for it all as I thought most of that would be money....sadly no.....

I need about 3,000 nanites to get my upgrades finished, but scanning animals, converting metal will all be extremely slow and take time.....and these upgrades are putting my ship at risk........pfft..........

Really easy way to get nanites is just to complete nexus missions in the anomaly. There are a few types of missions from rewards of units, nanites or quicksilver, but they change often and are typically really easy to complete. The nanite missions give you an average of 300 nanites per reward, and while you can complete the missions with others I prefer to do them solo.

If you find a planet with a large variety of fauna, you can get a reward of over 2500 nanites for scanning them all.

If you want to change game money into nanites, you can go to a 3 star economy system, stand at the space station and buy A or S class ships. When you scrap them you get upgrade modules. Those you can use either for your own ship or sell them to the guys who sell upgrades. Click buy upgrade, then you get a menu where you can sell your upgrades, You will get quite an amount of nanites. Sell the rest of what you got from scrapping the ship. Rinse and repeat.

make lots of money, buy ships at around 2-5million and then scrap them. you get technology upgrades which you can sell for nanites and you get part of the money back that you spent buying the ship
should get you a couple thousand nanites in a short amount of time

Or better yet, don't pay for the ship in the first place. Talk with an NPC pilot to find what your ships trade in value is, then swap for any lesser ship for 0 units. Be sure to run fast back to your original ship and claim it for free (before the new NPC takes off in it). Then simply jump in and out of the freebie and scrap it. Be sure to have enough slots open in your general exosuit to do this. A bit of a grind, but easy U and nanites.

It has been mentioned above, but I write it anyway:
There is a fast way to indirectly get nanites from your money, but this is only doable when you have a good money amount already:
You buy small A or S-Class ships and you scrap them, then you go sell the materials for which you also get a good amount of nanites - and other exclusive items (I let you figure out).
If you don't have a good money amount you can go in the 'Find ships in the wild and scrap them' business, this is the same as above but you don't need to buy these ships to scrap them; this requires more work but you get the same good amount of nanites.

Else there is no *profitable* way to get nanites for money. But you don't need to: Suffice to visit a lot of small settlement POIs (not to be counfounded with the new Settlements, I mean those with 1 landing pad), they always have a tech-device plus a device hanging in one of the 2 small buildings, this gives you a minimum of 30 + 50+ nanites if you collect both, and it takes seconds. Or visit a lot of abandoned buildings.

This is in my opinion the easiest route to a lot of nanites. Derelict freighters also offer a lot of nanites depending on how you trade the items found. Many covert directly to nanites, even tainted metal.
