Can i get some help on finding armored clams, i havent been able to find them

I am trying to get living pearls and i cant find and armored clams

Pretty much any water body with water deeper then 5 m should do the trick. They show up as a big yellow icon when scanning underwater. The only trick is to shoot them from a distance far enough- but not too far away and gather the pearl quickly before it shuts.

The water doesn't have to be deep. They're often near the edge in shallow water. Go to the edge of the water and use your visor. If there are any nearby, they'll show in yellow. If you don't see any, you can do a rocket jump along the edge, then look again. You don't find them in all water, especially if the whole pool is shallow, so you want a reasonably big lake or sea.

You can sometimes see them while jumping over the water or with eyeballs from the edge because they glow pink/purple, which is easy to see shining through the water.

I was just gathering some today, and I had to dig down because they were in underwater caverns. I used the icon to dig to them. Always feels a little sketchy digging deep underwater. My very first death in NMS was drowning in an underwater cave system. That was back in the early days when it was not uncommon for them to NOT have regular openings to the surface. I also did not think to use my terrain manipulator to make my own way out.
