So what sort of bribes are worth keeping for the random buy my relics dudes? Pretty sure Gek nip is one, does that also mean the other gek gifts are not useful in this way?

The three 'gifts' are Gek Relic, Korvax Casing and Vy'keen Effigy

If you want to mess with the planetary portals, finding them is easiest using the scanner in an exocraft to find Monoliths. The Monolith will ask for a Gek Relic, Korvax Casing, or Vy'keen Dagger. Other than saving a stack of those three, I sell everything else.

Ok good info. I can extrapolate the others (nip, cubes, daggers) are the ones for purchasing relics from random traders.

Save a few Vykeen daggers too. There's a questline and some optional stuff that require one.
Geknip is useless. The one time I tried to use it in conversation the Gek took it as an insult.

Well the nip was what I paid for a 2mil unit relic with a random trader.
