Need Help (E2 P5 - Historical Paragon) - Can't Find Planet Again
I completed Phase 5 - Echo Through The Ages where you find the big portal and then the SS Normandy appears in the sky. What I didn't realise was I was supposed to fly to the SSV NORMANDY but instead I ended up following another mission marker to another solar system. Now that I have realised what I was supposed to do, I can't find my way back.

Setting the Historical Paragon mission as my active mission doesn't give me any markers or paths through the galaxy to follow and the quest tool top for it in the bottom right of my screen is flickering and playing a glitched sound like it doesn't know where it wants to point me.

The closest reference point I have is the solar system with the Atlas in it as I remember it was close to this but I don't know and if this will be the same for everyone or just my save file.

Is anyone able to give me directions on how to get back to the planet where the SSV NORMANDY first appears and hopefully it is still where waiting before I end up starting a new save file.

I may be missing something (and I'm not sure if you can actually complete the mission or if it's now glitched for you), but can't you just look up the system in your "Discoveries" list, and middle-click on it to set a waypoint?

I found a video of someone else completing the quest and its in a solar system called "Dopperi VII" but I don't see that in the list of "All Visited System" so I think either it has been renamed or its different for everyone.

That video might be outdated. Here's the system now:

If you still can't find it and have the glyphs:

Thank You! - You have just saved me starting all over again!

Check the posting date of that video - make sure that it's of the redux version of expedition 2, not the original one that ran a few months ago.

I don't think the system is different for every player, but can't tell for sure, haven't played this expedition yet. But if that's the case, I suggest going through your list of discoveries and looking for systems that were "discovered by Hello Games". One of those ought to be the one you need to go to.

I'm pretty sure it's the same systems for everyone (based on how many Exp2-related "communication stations" I'd seen along the way).

But it seems likely you are correct that the "redux" systems may be different ones from the original release of Exp2.

I can confirm that the Redux systems are different for every expedition.
i'm in-game sitting on top of my ship up on the ridge overlooking the beacon point at the Boundary Failure ring... i'm a bit sad that i cannot watch the Normandy fly in as others complete their Phase5... but i can tell when they are flying along side of the Normandy when they talk to it...
I didn't see the Normandy during the "reveal" cinematic. I scanned the sky, saw nothing, but could hear the music so I jumped in my ship and followed the icon target. Then the Normandy showed up and I was able to follow it and continue with the steps.
yeah, i didn't see it in mine like in the trailer, either... i was actually flying away, slightly confused, and decided to look back at the planet and saw it several hundred u's below me... so i flew back to it and did the thing... i almost missed it because it was just a short and wide black line moving through the clouds... when i got close enough, the comms lit up and yeah...

while sitting here watching others complete their run, i can tell when they find it because their ship kinda drifts along slowly for a few minutes... then they pull up and blast away from the planet

Normally you should have space station coordinates for the Expedition site if you ever hopped out of your ship in one. Then just take the teleporter in any space station back. In the rare chance you didn't stop at a space station, here are the galactic coordinates and portal code for the starting star system in Expeditions 2:

Thanks, didn't know this was a thing. How would I use these coordinates in game?

There's a online converter for these hexadecimal coords:
https://nmsportals.github.io/

I don't know how noobs are supposed to know this :steamfacepalm:

You convert the galactic coords OR portal coordinates to portal glyphs using the website listed above, then put the glyphs into any nearby portal and you are whisked to the destination. Of course, you need all 16 portal glyphs to be able to do this. That is a quest in itself.
