can you connect a supply depot to your storage container?

If, by the lower section, you are asking about Running Wires from One Base to another, NO you can not...

Since the supply depot stops filling up at a certain point. Most likely not. That could fill your containers up quickly resulting in it stopping till you make room for more, again. Then we have the 4 billion unit cut off. Depending on what you are mining, that could quickly spoil the game for you.

That being said, I have seen other bases with a supply depot in the base coming from their other supply depots.

You can, but needs a little bit of fiddling around as it's not intended.
